I had a dream and my sister told me to sell it to nexon
So.....I've always wanted to be a game designer so I would sometimes randomly think of scenarios that could happen in certain game. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right forum as I used to play maplesea and moved to global as I'm not longer in SEA. I had a dream one day and it was related to maplestory so I told my sister and she say I should sell the story to nexon. The version I'm telling you however would be quite different to better suit the actual maplestory style rather than a dream. If anyone wants to listen to the actual dream feel free to ask. It's actually pretty interesting....I think....Oh... Sorry if I'm rambling.
The story goes a little like this....
Millenias ago, in a kingdom full of magic and wonder, there was a dark being hidden deep within the land. No one knew where it came from but one day it escaped. Possessing a huge bloodlust,it started going rampage, killing everything in sight. The king seek help from the goddess which foresees the land. The goddess chose 5 brave heroes to protect the kingdom against the dark being. The heroes trained day and night in hope of defeating the dark being. But one day, while their guard was down, the dark being possessed the goddess's body. With the two beings colliding in the body, the body went into a deep sleep. The kings had the body sealed in a dungeon underground in hope that if the dark being won the battle, it would be sealed in the dungeon.
Millenias have passed and everyone had forgotten about the dungeon. But slowly, the body started moving again. The goddess may be slightly stronger than the dark being after such a long battle in the body but she knew if she did not do something soon, she might lose the strength to continue fighting it.
So this is where the player comes in....
In order to prevent the dark being from growing stronger, the goddess to not kill anything but gain exp through healing and buffings. Self healing and self buffs do not give as much exp as healing/buffings party members or summoned beings do. Summoned beings do minimal damage with its attack but usually shield and tank damage when the goddess is in danger. In case you haven't notice, this is a completely support type class. So if your class doesn't get exp through monster, there's no way to actually heal yourself unless you purposely damage yourself right? So...here's how it work, there will be special job quests consisting of helping random adventurers. The npcs are the adventurers in this case. It may be a protecting quest for a certain journey or healing someone sickness. This however, will only be available until first job as the goddess will then deem this method to be too slow as she have to wait for people to actually be in trouble.
There's a lot more detail to it but it's rather hard to explain. I figured I'd just get the idea out there. I hope some of you forum people enjoyed the story.

Shadower adding a "Shadow Stretch Skill"
How it works is simple: You can only bind 1 enemy (including bosses), and if it successfully touches an enemy, it can splash chain to other enemies at half the original attack range, binding up to 7 more enemies

Kaiser's Recent Changes and how to fix them
Final Form's mobility was already lower than basic form due to the lack of being able to utilize the double-jump or the grappling hook, but the teleport made up for it. But now you took that out! The regular jump is basically useless.

Returning Maplestory player after a long hiatus
I was an avid player when I was younger. You're going back maybe 13 or so years now pre-Nexon. Throughout the years, I'd play for a length of time, take a break, uninstall the game, download it again after a while, and start the cycle over again.

Improve algorithm for the "loot" process
The KMS public servers (not KMST) didn't get the 30-second expiration of all drops. They only had their event drops, which used to expire in 15 or 20 seconds, extended to last 30 seconds.

Maplestory Compilation Class: One skill from everyone
It's all purely what you want to be using, not what you think would be useful, unless the two go hand-in-hand. Hell, even beginner skills are open game. Three Snails as a bossing skill is totally something anyone could say.

MapleStory: is this technique legitimate?
As a corsair, I have noticed that our mobbing is fairly lacking.
